Gýgagjá is a cave at the foot of the Hjörleifshöfði promontory. The cave is now quite well known under it´s nick name “Yoda´s cave” thanks to the shape of its opening which may resemble the famous intergalactic warrior of peace.
Gýgagjá is 15 kilometers east of Vík í Mýrdal, on the south west side of Hjörleifshöfði. Almost on the ocean beach in teh middle of the South Iceland.
